I'd had the idea to make a post like this for awhile—making a collage of photos that represent your feelings in a more tangible way—but I didn't really know what that was, or what to call it. I have a tumblr tag dedicated to photos like this, a pinterest board, even, but I had no idea what to call it in a blog post.

Then I happened to stumble on With Dignity + Coffee's Mood Board post, and bam. Exactly what I had in mind, except now it was already a thing.

So, I guess that's what this is: A mood board, consisting of photos that feel like home to me, somehow. Things I long for, and words I've been trying to keep in mind lately. My aesthetic, (isn't that what the kids are saying these days??) if you will.

It was, once upon a time, dubbed my favorite season. I'm more of an Autumn gal now, but Spring is such a beautiful, dreamy time, in a completely different way than Autumn. It's fresh and new and there are flowers everywhere. You can feel the warmth creeping back in after a cold winter, but you still have the lingering cool breezes.

A small list of some of my favorite things about Spring time:

• cool, breezy days
• blooming flowers
• the sound of lawns being mowed for the first time in months
• when it gets warm enough that rain isn't so frigid anymore
• seeing people out & about, soaking up the first sunny day in weeks
• finally getting to wear shorts & dresses again

I probably couldn't count on two hands the amount of times I have endeavored to start posting content regularly on the internet. Astronomical, really...

So, here I am, hopefully for real this time. I've kind of finally decided to throw myself into this as unashamedly as possible. It's not much, but it's something.

I want to be happy. It's as simple, and as complicated, as that. So I'm going to start doing the things that I think will make me happy. And that starts here.

(Also, the title of this post may or may not have been a High School Musical reference... Make of that what you will.)
